Admin/Biographical History Mary A. Hennessey was born in Sacramento in 1911 to Russian immigrant parents Pasha and Alexander Ansen. She attended Sacramento area schools and obtained a teaching credential from Chico State Teacher's College in 1934. At Chico, she worked for the school newspaper "The Wildcat." She kept in contact with her roommate from college Mary Arello, who settled in Antioch and sent Mary Hennessey many photos of her two children: Mike and Marilyn Arello. Schools Mary Hennessey taught at included Stonehouse, Dos Rios, and for almost twenty years, Elder Creek. Her husband W. Lloyd Hennessey was a janitor at Sacramento City College. Mary lived in Oak Park at 3764 Miller Way from her marriage in 1942 until she died in 1995.
