Collection Glide Family
Object Name Archival Collection
Scope & Content Receipts, Correspondence, Catalogs, Schedules, Live Stock Certificates, Sales Maps, and State Fair Entry Blanks document ranching and domestic activities of the Glide Family of Yolo County. About half of the collection is receipts, in which numerous Sacramento and San Francisco businesses are represented. Mrs. Lizzie Helen Glide and her son Thornton Snyder Glide are the names found most often in the documents. Letters from Jack and Kaza Nakao in Japan provide some insight into the Glide's relationship with a former employee.

Added from 1984 "Lord Mayor's Court" event for the History Center, 27 portraits of Sacramento notables collected by Mimi Miller. Also contains one file folder of correspondence related to the event.
